Bitmoji is an avatar app that can be used as an add-on feature to popular social networking apps. Users need to sign up with an email and password or their Snapchat account, they then create a Bitmoji avatar of themselves and can link this avatar to their social networking account such as Facebook, Snapchat, WhatsApp etc. While the Bitmoji app itself is not dangerous, the app encourages the use of social media, which kids may feel inclined to sign up to to share their Bitmoji stickers. We recommend that if allowing your child to use this app, parents use their email to create their child an account.
